Welcome Parents! to the JIS Children's Page

Good Day Parents,

My name is Donna-Marie Rowe, CEO of the Jamaica Information Service and I want to welcome you to the JIS Children’s Page.

The Special Children’s Page is our latest digital innovation to spread information about Jamaica’s rich heritage and culture, this time to young, brilliant minds of the next generation.

We have used the most creative and interactive platforms, available through the wonders of the internet, to teach children about our country and to build national pride.

Additionally, the page will attract children of all ages and stages and fit easily into existing school curricula.

Some of these activities can even be used by you at home, to bring a Jamaican flavour to your family time.

Use them in the classroom to bring Civics lessons to life.

And at care facilities to engage young minds creatively.

But we are not alone in this effort. We have enlisted help from a very special friend, Hummy, our hummingbird guide for the Children’s Page!

So join us on this new journey! Thank you for choosing the JIS!
